Destination BC is currently modernizing the HelloBC website to be a high performance, mobile first, traveller focused digital platform. The goal is to assist travellers to better plan and book a BC trip while creating handoffs to our industry partners who can close the sale.

As such, the partnership between Destination BC and Check In Canada will be completed as of December 31, 2017. If you are currently listed in the Enhanced Booking Option, you will receive your final invoice and statistics up to and including December 31, 2017, in February 2018. Starting January 1, 2018, live rates and availability will no longer appear on, however your property's Book Now button will still redirect consumers to the booking engine page of your website.

Do accommodation businesses require a business license and insurance or Food Safe certificates (as applicable) to partipate in HelloBC Listings Program?

Destination BC does not require proof of documentation when an accommodation property enrols in the HelloBC Listings program. However, all businesses must hold and maintain, all applicable licenses, permits, approvals and statutory authorities issued by any government or government agency that are necessary to perform the business, in order participate in Destination BC’s marketing programs

Do accommodation businesses need to participate in the HelloBC Listings program in order to get a blue & white highway sign?

No. Effective April 1, 2013, the blue and white highway signage program is now administered by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI). For more information on the revised policies and procedures in your area, visit here.

Travel Deal Program
